Warrior Mage Fighting

Update 1.1.3 Notes

We’ve been working full steam ahead since the launch of RavenQuest, and this update is another important step in making the game smoother, more exciting, and more polished. Update 1.1.3 is here, bringing major performance improvements, new features, and fresh content to explore!

After the first Public Test Realm, we are rolling out the Group Spawns (former Elite Creatures) for players looking for challenging PvE encounters, Legendary Pools for fishing enthusiasts, and new wagon and ship upgrades for traders and sailors. Combined with new cosmetics, balance changes, and bug fixes, this patch has something for every kind of Adventurer!

There’s plenty to explore, so dive into the full patch notes below and see everything that’s new in Update 1.1.3!

At the core of our vision, we care deeply about accessibility and performance, making sure that every Adventurer can enjoy the game smoothly regardless of their setup. We are happy to announce that this update brings a wave of client optimizations designed to make your adventures smoother than ever! We have reworked how images and sprites load in the client, greatly improving efficiency and responsiveness.

These changes will not only enhance the overall gameplay experience, but also optimize memory usage, potentially reducing RAM consumption by up to 1GB in certain cases. We are also hopeful that this may solve the PvP "Client Not Responding" issue some Adventurers are having.

Light and Shadow

Additionally, thanks to these optimizations, we are also able to introduce an exciting new feature: Lights and Shadows! Now, every asset in the game interacts dynamically with light and projects its own shadow on the ground, bringing a whole new layer of depth and atmosphere to your adventures!

This feature can be easily enabled or disabled at any time in the Settings menu.

This is part of our ongoing effort to ensure RavenQuest not only grows in content, but also continues to feel more polished with every update!

After a succesful PTR, Group Spawns (former Elite Creatures) are arriving in RavenQuest as a direct response to your feedback and suggestions for more PvE group content. These fearsome versions of existing monsters are designed to challenge parties and reward teamwork like never before.

What makes them Group Spawns?

  • Significantly higher Health and Damage.
  • Greater rewards with significantly increased Experience and increased Loot.
  • All Loot drops (Infusions and Trophies included) are given to all party members (up to 3).
(In parties of 4 or more, loot drops are randomly distributed to 3 members)
  • Unique Elite nameplates make them easy to spot.

Five New Group Spawn Zones Are Waiting for You:

  • Elite Hookmasks (Lv. 65–67) — Bilepit, Thornveil Isle
  • Elite Warhogs (Lv. 70–73) — Glemdur, Coldreach Isle
  • Elite Jackals (Lv. 75–78) — Ruins of Bar’zif, Sunspire Island
  • Elite Orcs (Lv. 80–82) — Da'reckaz Hoard, Ostera
  • Elite Venomfang Drakes (Lv. 85–87) — Beneath the Festering Mire, Ostera

Additionally, with the introduction of the Group Spawns, we are also adding new Rangers Company for Hookmasks, Warhogs, Jackals, Orcs and Venomfang Drakes that are group suggested.

We will be adding more Group Spawns soon, and maybe even something bigger down the line... Form your party, hunt them down, and prove your strength!

In this update, we are turning our gaze to the high seas and bringing a brand-new feature that will spice up the adventures of fishermen and thrill all who love sailing and battling across the waves!

Introducing: Legendary Pools — mysterious fishing spots that occasionally emerge, teeming with life as they draw in vast numbers of fish, including the elusive Legendary Fish, from every corner of the world. These rare waters are unlike anything you’ve seen before, offering incredible opportunities for daring anglers and explorers alike.

Legendary Pools, recognized by a golden fish leaping from the water, hold twice the amount of fish compared to normal pools, and the chance to catch a Legendary Fish inside them is boosted to 20%.

Only one Legendary Pool can exist at a time, and when it spawns, a global announcement will alert all players, and your compass will highlight the general area to search.

Their spawn times are unpredictable, with cooldown ranges that keep adventurers guessing — and they won’t appear in the same location across different channels.

But beware: the immense pull of these pools has shifted the oceans’ balance! Normal pools now have half the previous chance to yield Legendary Fish, making Legendary Pools the prime hunting grounds for those who seek glory and rare catches.

Will you answer the call of the Legendary Pools and claim the treasures beneath the waves?! 🪝🐟

Tradepacks

We are unlocking the following Tradepacks focused on Herbalism materials:

  • Seer’s Support Pack
  • Exotic Spices
  • Yornish Seasonings
  • Hardy Roots

This addition aims to bring more variety and opportunities to the market. We will be closely monitoring how the Herbalism economy evolves and will make further adjustments if needed.

Balance

  • Changed all Enchantment Runes related to Attack Power to enhance Spell Power and Weapon Power instead.
  • Reduced the Melee Damage Reduction in PvP from 10% to 5%. The Melee Damage Reduction in PvE remains at 10%.
  • Increased the amount of initial aggro generated with Devout Protector (Protection) in order to better accommodate initial pull mechanics in Group Spawns.

Transports

We are also expanding the horizons of trading and transport with brand-new tiers for Wagons and Ship Cabins, giving merchants and adventurers the power to carry more Tradepacks than ever before as they journey across the world. Unveiling the new upgrades:

  • Grand Wagon ー Carry more Tradepacks than ever before while boasting greater durability, though at the cost of some added weight.
  • Large Tradepack Container ー Expands your ship’s capacity, allowing you to load +1 Tradepack.
  • Large Maintenance Unit ー Enhances your ship’s healing capabilities, keeping it seaworthy for longer.
  • Large Ammunition Cabin ー Boosts your ship’s damage output, giving you an edge in naval battles.
  • Sturdy Double Crane ー Improves damage against fish and increases durability while fishing.

We are also introducing a brand-new skill for all existing Fishing Cranes (now renamed to Fishing Crane and Double Fishing Crane): Reinforced Line. This powerful ability strengthens your line’s durability, giving fishermen the extra time they need to reel in their prized catches!

Crafting these mighty advancements will require both Ravencrest Emblems and QUEST Cores, (obtained in the Munk Taskmaster Shop, located near the Hungry Munk in Ravencrest), so start preparing your stockpiles! Only the most resourceful traders will be among the first to showcase their upgraded rides and dominate the trade routes!
