Munks always say a little luck can go a long way, and sometimes, it can even take shape and follow you around!

Arriving with the Munk Madness Expansion, and from the lively heart of the Munk Carnival, comes a new kind of companion: Pets. From adorable critters to mystical creatures, these loyal friends appear when fortune smiles upon an Adventurer, drawn by the spark of Munk magic and eager to share in their journey.

Pets are more than friendly faces. They are companions that follow you wherever you go, bringing wonderful and unique bonuses to every adventure. From humble critters of the wilds to beings infused with arcane power, they come in all shapes and rarities, each with their own Perks and Traits to aid in your quest for $QUEST!

Every Pet offers strength and support in their own way, with each having a unique rarity defining both its charm and potential power. From Common to Legendary, rarer Pets not only look more unique but can also possess stronger Perks and the rare chance to have a Trait.

All Pets have Pet Perks that provide direct bonuses to your Attributes, Profession skills, and more. Pet Traits, on the other hand, can only be obtained by higher rarity Pets, and provide a significant boost to the core ability of Pets: Gemstone Transmutation, the mystical process which allows higher rarity Pets to turn Gemstones into $QUEST. Additionally, each Pet you collect increases your Renown! Rarer pets provide more Renown, so grow your collection and your bond with these mystical companions!
 

To begin meeting your new companions, step into the Munk Carnival and try your luck with the Fortune Wheel, where every spin has a chance to call a new friend to your side. Found within the Munk Carnival Lounge, this wondrous contraption allows Adventurers to spin for rewards using Lucky Coins, or Carnival and Lucky Stubs, earned as a bonus from wagering Chips in the Carnival’s games.

Every spin of the wheel is a chance at rewards, and among the many treasures it offers, some are truly special: Pets. Through a little Munk magic and a touch of fortune’s grace, new companions may manifest, ready to join you on your travels!

All Pets come with a random Pet Perk. Perks grant permanent passive bonuses that help in all aspects of your adventures, with rarer Pets having more impactful Perks.

Some Pet Perks enhance your combat, others boost your Gathering or Crafting, and a few even improve your Luck. You can benefit from each one of these bonuses at the same time if you have Pets with these Perks, so get ready to collect them all!

◈ Attribute Perks ー Grant bonuses to primary Attributes.

◈ Combat Perks ー Grant bonuses to different combat-related activities, Creature Loot, Infusion and Aether Stones drop rates, Bounty Marks from Ranger’s Company Tasks and Expedition Luck.

◈ Gathering Perks ー Increase the chance to obtain rare materials from Gathering Professions.

◈ Crafting Perks ー Increase the effectiveness of Touch and Synthesis abilities for Crafting Professions.
 

Different from Perks, only higher rarity Pets have the ability to harness the latent power in Gemstones through Gemstone Transmutation, a mystical process that turns these stones into $QUEST Tokens.

Starting at Arcane rarity, Pets possess Energy, a magical resource that fuels this conversion and replenishes over time. Transmuting Gemstones consumes Energy, and while almost all pets have the same amount of Energy, rarer Pets replenish their Energy faster.

Additionally, Landowners benefit from a unique advantage: their Pets regenerate twice as much Energy in the same period compared to Pets owned by non-Landowners, allowing them to transmute Gemstones more frequently, ultimately earning twice the amount of $QUEST from Transmuting.

For now, only Tier 1 Gemstones are able to be transmuted.

The first 20 days after a Pet is obtained, its Energy regeneration speed is boosted. This accelerated regeneration gradually tapers off over time as the Pet matures:

◈ First 5 Days ー 500% Energy regeneration speed

◈ Next 5 Days ー 400% Energy regeneration speed

◈ Next 5 Days ー 300% Energy regeneration speed

◈ Next 5 Days ー 200% Energy regeneration speed

◈ After ー Normal regeneration speed

To support this feature, Pets have their age marked in their tooltip. This allows your to track how old they are, and coordinate the around appropriate regeneration bonus as time progresses.

Additionally, Pets of Arcane rarity or higher can come with a Trait, enhancing its capabilities at Transmuting Gemstones. Each different Trait reduces the Energy cost of Transmuting a specific type of Gemstone by 20%, increasing the conversion efficiency:

◈ Heroic ー More efficient at Ruby transmutation.

◈ Wise ー More efficient at Sapphire transmutation.

◈ Steadfast ー More efficient at Topaz transmutation.

◈ Cunning ー More efficient at Emerald transmutation.

The first Adventurer to obtain any of the Legendary Pets will instead obtain a Shiny Legendary Pet version of it!

Shiny Pets are extremely rare, 1/1 Pets that have their unique visual and grant double the Renown of their Legendary version. Additionally, Shiny Pets have twice the Energy amount to perform Gemstone Transmutation and are guaranteed to possess a Trait.

The early Munk gets the snack, so if you want to walk away with a truly unique companion by your side, make sure to be first in line to the Fortune Wheel!

Beyond Companionship and The Magic of Letting Go

All Pets can follow you not only in your RavenQuest adventures, but beyond! As NFTs, pets can be Ascended from your Withdrawable Inventory, allowing them to move from the game into your Wallet, where they remain truly yours.

Ascending Pets to the Website will be become available a few days after the Munk Madness Expansion releases.

Additionally, and while it is always hard to say goodbye, some Adventurers may choose to release a Pet. When this happens, your companion returns to the weave of Munk magic, with the Munks offering you Lucky Coins for the Pet!
