Valentine's Update Notes

Love fills the air, the Carnival drums are beating, and the Valentine's Update (1.2.4.5) steps in to keep the festivities alive! While this patch leans into seasonal fun, introducing Valentine-themed activities, refreshed Carnival rewards, new pets, and several system adjustments to improve overall flow and quality of life, it also signals that much bigger things are cooking in the background.

As a glimpse of the future, development is moving forward on the return of the Plunder Channel, Stake Season 2 is drawing closer with impactful additions (sharing more right below), and the Experience Tracker system is steadily being built. Alongside that, we are currently working on a Major Content Update coming to RavenQuest. Knighter, our CEO & Creative Director, will be posting a large announcement about what is coming in the RavenQuest Discord later today! 😉

 


Staking Season 1 proved something important: with over 17,500,000 $QUEST already staked, the community has rallied behind the longterm of $QUEST. In the most challenging market Web3 has seen, $QUEST has remained more resilient than 99% of Tokens. We stand behind the longterm of the $QUEST ecosystem. We continue to reduce circulating supply until it hits a critical point. We continue to build and expand the $QUEST Ecosystem. And long-term believers will be rewarded during tough markets through non-inflationary methods, by supplying $IMX rewards for $QUEST holders.

On February 17th, Season 2 of $QUEST Staking goes live for $QUEST holders! 

Staking Season 2

Season 2 continues our commitment to external reward pools in $IMX, ensuring that staking rewards do not inflate the $QUEST supply. The model remains milestone-based, dynamic, and built for long-term alignment, not short-term hype.

And as we designed staking to reward conviction, we continue to honor that. All current staking positions will automatically roll into Season 2:

  • Your staked $QUEST remains staked.
  • Your milestone bonuses remain intact.


We have secured a further 40,000 $IMX as rewards for $QUEST holders for Staking Season 2. Simply stake $QUEST, and collect your $IMX rewards!

Withdraw & Stake (No Fees)

We are excited that with Season 2 of $QUEST Staking we have built out support to Withdraw & Stake $QUEST directly from in-game, allowing you to withdraw your in-game $QUEST and immediately stake it in a single action, with zero silver cost for Adventurers!


Additionally, all $QUEST staked directly from the game on the same day will be automatically grouped into a single stake batch, helping you keep your staking organized and efficient. To support this new flow, we have also increased the limit of stake batches available per account.

Compounding Utility. Strengthening Scarcity.

Buybacks continue. Burns continue. In-game utility continues expanding. And now, staking becomes even more frictionless. We are not building for a single market cycle. We are building for longevity.
 

Love is in the air, and the Munks know it! This update arrives lovingly bundled with free gifts from the Munks and our Team for all Adventurers, with additional gifts for all our Munkowners and Landowners!


For a limited time, Adventurers can go about their activities with a little extra sweetness, gathering Valentine Choco-Hearts from Expeditions and trading them with Munk Sweetheart in Ravencrest for a suite of Valentine-themed rewards!

Help Munk Sweetheart, overseer of the Logistics of Love, recover his lost shipment of Valentine Choco-Hearts. These chocolate treats are crucial for Munks to enjoy Valentine’s Day as scheduled, but a distribution issue had them mixed up with supplies from the Munk Expeditionary Company! And now, all these carefully crafted sweets have ended up in the deepest chambers of Expedition dungeons! Recover them and Munk Sweetheart will be pleased to part with some heartfelt rewards!

While everyone will be able to get the rewards by running at least 1 Expedition a day, Valentine Choco-Hearts can also be obtained in the In-Game Marketplace from other Players for Adventurers in a rush, or not fond of recovering chocolate from the bony clutches of undead hordes.

Rewards Packed with Love

The following rewards can be traded for Valentine Choco-Hearts with Munk Sweetheart in Ravencrest:

  • Heartbound Voyager (300 Renown) ー Unlocks a lovingly decorated ship cosmetic!
  • Sweet Valentine (450 Renown) ー Unlocks a stunningly dressed cosmetic for your Moa!
  • Heartfelt Bouquet (150 Renown) + Player Title ー Unlocks a sweet house decor and the title “Love’s Champion”.
     


Additional Rewards!

In addition to the cosmetics purchasable with Valentine Choco-Hearts, the Munks have set aside an extra bundle of rewards to celebrate the occasion:

  • Valentine’s Bandit House Companion (100 Renown) ー Obtain this by logging in at least once during the event.
  • Valentine’s Bonnie House Companion (150 Renown) ー Obtain this good girl by being a Munk PFP Owner.
  • Heartbound Traveler Wagon Skin (250 Renown) ー Obtain this sweet ride by being a Landowner.
     


Valentine’s Event will run from Feb 13th to Feb 27th, and the extra bundle rewards will be distributed by the end of the event.

The Munk Carnival will be temporarily closing its doors starting Friday, Feb 13th, and will reopen on Saturday, Feb 14th at reboot time.

First of all, to celebrate Valentines, Carnaval and Friday the 13th all lining up this year, the Art team made some special companions for the Munk Carnival.

  • Batuuk (Carnaval) ー Arcane
  • Fanfair (Carnaval) ー Exalted
  • Foliara (Carnaval) ー Legendary and Shiny
  • Scoria (Friday the 13th) ー Legendary and Shiny
  • Heartseeker (Valentine's) ー Legendary and Shiny
     


As new contenders arrive, some familiar faces will be stepping away. The following Pets will no longer be obtainable:

  • Ashborne ー Legendary and Shiny
  • Spellbinder ー Legendary and Shiny
  • Netherwing ー Legendary and Shiny
  • Solarion ー Legendary and shiny


But that’s not all. The Lucky Wheel is also receiving a brand-new cosmetic reward: Suave Suitor (1000 Renown), a charming new look for your Moa that lets you showcase your flair in true Valentines fashion!


Bandit's Bounty Board

As a reminder for bounty hunters: the current Bandit’s Bounty Board objective — collect 2 of the new Legendary Pets — will remain available in Update 1.2.4.5. All newly introduced Pets are part of this pool and will count toward completion, so dive into the Munk Carnival and chase down the new Pets!

Spawns & Exploration

Glaceheart Lake is now open! Sailing from Glaceforde’s Newvik, players can now venture to a desolated island in the northern region of the lake. The island is inhabited by Ice Zorians, Iceshell Tortoises, and Frostbound Drakes, with creatures ranging from Level 77 to 81.

Additionally, we are updating some early- to mid-game respawn areas, improving their structure and navigation flow. Today’s adjustments include:

  • Maud Isle ー Underground Caves: Toads (Level 22–24)
  • Tar Graveyard ー Underground Mines: Skeletons (Level 38–42)


Miscellaneous

  • The Land Teleport channel time has been reduced from 30 seconds to 2 seconds.
  • Distributed Bandit Plushies (House Decoration) to all players who obtained Bandit Plushies from Lucky Chests Season 1.
  • Players can now add Mobile Munk NPC bells to the action bar, allowing Munks to be summoned using a hotkey for faster and more convenient access.
  • Applied behavior improvements to the Goblin Tinker RavenCard (more specifically to the Shock trigger) to ensure correct functionality and prevent unintended interactions:
    • Shock no longer triggers from Healing Skills.
    • Shock now activates only from abilities that deal damage, including damage granted through RavenCard effects.
    • This change also prevents unintended damage application that previously bypassed Party and Guild protection rules.
  • The Dynamic Event "Red Count" has been adjusted to better support Story Quest progression:
    • The cooldown has been replaced for Scarcity, meaning that players who complete the event are temporarily blacklisted and can't participate while it lasts.
    • The Blacklist duration is now set to 90 minutes.
    • A notification message now appears when a player attempts to trigger the event while blacklisted.

       

 

  • The Minimap now displays the correct position of each player during Guild Wars.
  • Players are now properly able to interact with the map assets to trigger the Dynamic Event "Eye of the Storm".
  • Fixed an issue where food buffs were being always reset when joining Duo Arena matches.
  • Fixed an issue where player names were being automatically translated in the Party HUD widget.
  • Fixed an issue where the passive Witch Hunter was triggering by any defense on the player set % bonus.
  • Fixed an issue in Feed the Munk where stackable items would display the wrong amount and could appear as 0 after feeding. Item quantities now correctly display and update, regardless of stack size.
  • Fixed an issue with the Haste interaction from Goblin Tinker, making it so the effect correctly requires only the caster of Haste to have Goblin Tinker equipped for the Shocking bonus to be applied to the target.
